Some stories unfold on a wedding day. Others are lived in the everyday around the ranch, alongside the horses, with the people you love and through the traditions that have become second nature.
Whether you’re gathering everyone together to celebrate a marriage or simply wanting to remember this season of life as it is right now, the photographs that mean the most are the ones that feel true to you. Not overly posed or made into something they’re not, but honest documentation of the people, places and connections that make this life yours.
Growing up immersed in the western way of life and now calling Central Alberta home, I understand it because it’s a life I know firsthand. You recognize the things that might seem ordinary to someone else, but carry a lot more meaning when they’re part of your everyday.
That understanding shapes the way I photograph your story. I know when to pay attention to the smallest moments and when something deserves a little more patience. And if your animals are part of it, I know that sometimes getting the photograph means waiting for your horse to put their ears forward or giving the ranch dog a chance to find their way into the frame.
Because you’re not simply trusting me to take beautiful photographs. You’re trusting me to recognize what matters and document it in a way that still feels like you years from now.

I’ve always believed the life we’re living right now is worth remembering. Growing up with a connection to western life taught me that the stories we carry aren’t found only in the big moments. They’re shaped over time by where we come from, the people beside us and the traditions that become part of who we are.
That belief is a big part of why I became a photographer and continues to shape the way I approach western wedding and lifestyle photography today. I know the moments that seem ordinary now can become the ones we’d give anything to return to years from now and photographs give us something tangible to carry with us.
Western life asks a lot of you, and it’s easy to keep moving without thinking much about the season you’re in. I believe there’s value in making the time to appreciate the life you’ve built and document it while you’re still right in the middle of it.
Documenting your story is about more than creating beautiful photographs. It’s about recognizing what makes this season of your life yours and preserving it honestly, so years from now it still brings you back to the people, places and moments that mattered.
